Worlds Beyond Earth
Spatial Graphic Concept
Spatial Design, Motion Design
After Effects, Illustrator
For my Motion Graphics class, I created a digital billboard for Worlds Beyond Earth, a show at the Hayden Planetarium at the Natural History Museum in New York City, I based my concept around sci-fi user interfaces from 90’s anime. I feature this spaceship UI concept because I wanted to put the passerby in the drivers seat, and get them excited about exploring space. For this project, I chose to use the typeface Lo-Res which was created by Emigre in the 90’s to bolster my retro reference point. I also used Algerian Concrete, which has a square, modular build that works in reference to space travel.
